Diagnoptics Project kickoff meeting held in Terrassa

Last January 13th and 14th the Kick-off project of Diagnoptics project was help in Terrassa, at UPC-CD6 premises. The project aims to provide clinicians with novel tools for the diagnosis and prognosis of skin cancer lesions, both melanoma and non-melanoma. Members of the research team from all institutions attended the meeting, with an overall attendance of 16persons, including technicians, clinicians and industrial partners. Two pilot services to be implemented at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and the University hospital at Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia to analyze the improvements of applying a multimodal imaging platform including four different in-vivo technique splus a novel approach to Mohs surgery development.

Along the kick-off, all background and management tools for project development were proposed and implemented. A common ground for the different backgrounds of the partners was also set to jointly develop the optical solution, as coordinated approaches to the limits in technical and clinical tasks.
